Yes, Another Halloween Card!

Hey there stampers! Happy Tuesday!
Today's card is one we did at my stamp camp for the Royal High School Girl's Volleyball team.  I think the girls had a good time making their cards and the Frankie Box I showed in this post.

STEPS:

  1. Start with  Only Orange cut at 4 1/4 x 11, fold in half and trim 1/2" off one end-the shorter side will be your card front.
  2. Using the Scallop Edge Punch, scallop the short side of your card front.  Add a piece of Cast-A-Spell DSP (I used the Perfect Plum design)to the inside edge of your card so that the scalloped edge shows up more.
  3. Add a 4x4 piece of Cast-A-Spell DSP to the front of the card.  Stamp the skeleton and dog image from the Twick or Tweet stamp set in Basic Black on Whisper White and notch out the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch.  Color in the dog with Creamy Caramel Stampin' Write Marker.
  4. Mat the skeleton image onto another piece of the Perfect Plum print fromt he Cast-A-Spell DSP pack and adhere to your card.
  5. Add Black ribbon (from craft store) and tie into a knot.

INGREDIENTS:

  • STAMPS: Twick or Tweet
  • INK: Basic Black, Stampin' Write Marker in Creamy Caramel
  • PAPER: Only Orange, Whisper White, Cast-A-Spell DSP
  • ACCESSORIES: Black ribbon (craft store)
  • TOOLS: Scallop Edge and Ticket Corner Punches

Thanks for visiting and hope you have a great day!

Halloween Tags

Hey there stampers! Thanks for stopping by!

Today I have two tags that I made for a friend for her teacher gifts for Halloween.  I used the fabulous Two Tags Die so it made it super easy!

STEPS:

  1. Die cut Only Orange card stock using the Two Tags Die and the Big Shot.
  2. For the tag with the scallop, add Old Olive punched with the Scallop Circle Punch to the scallop.  Add a 1 3/8" Circle of Perfect Plum to the Olive Scallop Circle.  Stamp the Pumpkin from the Batty for You stamp set twice-once in Basic Black ink and once in Only Orange ink.  Punch the black one with the 1 1/4" circle punch and the orange one with the 1" Circle Punch and layer all together with a dimensional.  Stamp sentiment from the All Holidays stamp set in Basic Black.
  3. For the folded flap tag ink the sentiment from the Hostess Level 1 set called Holiday Best using Stampin' Write Markers in Only Orange, Green Galore and Basic Black and stamp onto a Whisper White.  Round the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch and adhere to front flap of tag.  Add Ribbon.
Hope you are having a great day!

Hey there stampers! I'm so happy you stopped by to visit today!  Be sure to leave a comment andlet me know you've stopped by! :)
Today's card uses the most popular selling stamp in the Stampin' Up Idea Book and Catalog right now, the Medallion stamp.  I originally was playing around with this image to create something else that didn't quite work out and had it sitting on my table waiting for me to do something with it.  So here it is!

  2. Cut image in half and mat on Real Red card stock.  Add to card.
  3. Stamp the sentiment from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set in Basic Black on Whisper White and punch with the Word Window Punch.  Mat onto Real Red punched with the Modern Label Punch.

Feels Like Fall :)

Hey there stampers! Thanks for stopping by today! It's finally beginning to feel like fall even though I've been making Halloween cards and projects for what seems like months!  So I quickly whipped up this fall card this morning!
Today's card uses one of my favorite stamp sets called Branch Out.

STEPS:

  1. Start out with a card base of Dusty Durango card stock and add a panel of More Mustard card stock.
  2. Stamp the tree image from the Branch Out stamp set in Close to Cocoa on Very Vanilla card stock and add leaves in Close to Cocoa, Dusty Durango and More Mustard.
  3. Using Close to Cocoa and Dusty Durango ink pads, add color to edges of main panel using the direct to paper technique (I call it schmutzing-but I'm wierd like that).  Just hold the ink pad and swipe your card stock onto the edges of the stamp pad and work your way around until you like it. :)
  4. Adhere panel to rest of card.  Stamp sentiment from the All Holidays stamp set in Close to Cocoa on Very Vanilla and punch with the Word Window Punch and add to More Mustard punched with the Modern Label Punch and finally onto Close to Cocoa punched with the Designer label Punch after being embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Bird and Swirls (it was a scrap and worked!)

INGREDIENTS:

  • STAMPS: Branch Out, All Holidays
  • INK: More Mustard, Dusty Durango, Close to Cocoa
  • PAPER: Very vanilla, More Mustard, Dusty Durango
  • TOOLS: Word Window, Modern Label and Designer Label Punches

Have a great day-I am off to work!

Adorable Frankie Box!

Hey there stampers! Thanks for stopping by!
Today's project is another we did at my Halloween Stamp camp.  It is totally cased from Gretchen Barron so the credit goes to her!  It uses the Top Note and Fancy favor Box Dies and has absolutely no stamping!

STEPS:

  1. Start by die cutting one Fancy Favor Box (I used Going Gray because I was out of Old Olive in 12x12 size) and 2 Old Olive Top Notes and half of a Basic Black Top Note.
  2. Put your box together without creasing the side gussets.  Trim about 1/4" off the end of your Old Olive Top Note pieces and adhere to front and back of box after sponging the edges with Old Olive ink.
  3. Take your Basic Black Top Note Piece and give it a hair cut just using scissors.  Adhere to Frankie's head.
  4. Take some scrap Old Olive card stock and punch about 3/4 of a Round Tab Punch (nose)and one 1" Circle.  Sponge the edges again with Old Olive ink and cut the 1" Circle in half for the eye lids.
  5. Take scrap Whisper White card stock and punch two 1" circles and take scrap Basic Black and punch two 3/4" Circles (eyes).  Adhere together and add a little White Gel Pen to highlight.  Add to face with nose hiding underneath.
  6. Using your Stampin' Write marker in Basic Black add stitches and mouth.  Add a 1/2" strip of basic Balck for the handle using brads to hold it on.  I added some candy corn in a cello bag with the Old Olive Wide ribbon but you could put just about anything!

INGREDIENTS:

  • STAMPS: none
  • INK: Old Olive, Stampin' Write Marker in Black, White Gel Pen
  • PAPER: Going Gray, Whisper White, Basic Black, Old Olive
  • ACCESSORIES: Brads, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Old Olive Striped Wide Ribbon
