You've Got a Friend in Me!

Good Morning Stampers! Thanks for stopping by!
Today's card is super cute and uses the new Bermuda Bay In Color available TOMORROW!! Now I will be out of town starting tomorrow but if you'd like to order something before I get home you can email me and I can place the order from Wyoming or you can simply click on the "Shop 24/7" button on the right side of my blog and order anytime! I will for sure be ordering when I get to my mom's and having it shipped to her place-I cannot wait 18 days!!

For my card I started out with a Bermuda Bay card base. I added a panel of Close to Cocoa cardstock that I ran through with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder. Next I stamped my branch and birdies using my awesome Stampin' Write Markers including the NEW IN COLOR MARKERS!!! Woo Hoo you have no idea how exciting it is to have the In Colors in MARKERS!!
I matted the main image on a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock and added the gold brads on the bottom using my Mat Pack to line them up. Just how I like it- super simple and super cute!

Hope you are having a terrific day!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

Hi there Stampers! Here's my second post of the day so scroll down to see the first!

I finally had a chance to sit down and stamp and I decided to play along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for the week. She always has the greatest sketches so play along with us!

I started out with a Whisper White card base, added a panel of Pacific Point and my strips of Good Morning Sunshine DSP. I stamped my images from the Cheep Talk stamp set using my SU Markers to get different colors on the same stamp. I punched it out with my Wide Oval Punch and the used a piece of Pacific Point that I first punched with my Scallop Edge Punch and then ran through my Crimper before wrapping it around to make a ruffled edge. I used a lot of Sticky Strip to make it stay nice. I added some Pacific Point Striped Ribbon and a white Jumbo Grommet from the Occasions Mini with a little heart stuck inside of it.

For a great tutorial on how to make the ruffled edge click HERE

Ingredients:
Stamps: Cheep Talk Paper: Good Morning Sunshiine DSP, WW, Pacific Point Ink: SU Markers Accessories: 1/2" Circle Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Crimper, Sticky Strip, Pop-Up Glue Dots, Pacific Point Striped Ribbon, Jumbo Grommet

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Kristina Werner Color Challenge

Good Morning Stampers! I'm so glad it's the weekend and today promises to be a warm sunny day here in Southern California-yippee! I'll be spending a few hours outside with my daughter's Girl Scout troop selling everyone's favorite...COOKIES!

Today's card is my submission for this week's color inspiration challenge over at Kristina Werner's blog. I started out with an Old Olive base, added a panel of Ruby Red embossed with the Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and then my Pumpkin Pie matte with a scalloped edge border of Bordering Blue (ha ha a border of Bordering Blue-I'm a dork-it's ok, I know it!). My main image is from the Cheep Talk set (LOVE IT!)that I inked up with my SU markers and punched the corners out with my Ticket Corner Punch. The final touch is a knotted felt ribbon that resembles our SU felt ribbon from the Winter Mini, but was something I actually found in a dollar bin at Michael's.
Ingredients:
Stamps: Cheep Talk Paper: Old Olive, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, WW, Bordering Blue Ink: SU Markers in same colors Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Glue Dots, Non-SU Ribbon, Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Scallop Edge Punch

Thanks for taking time out of your busy weekend to stop by! My post tomorrow will be late as we have a very busy weekend!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge

Good Morning! Thanks for stopping by! I've been on a roll participating in challenges these last few days! This is one I haven't tried before called Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. It was challenging with some many parts to it but fun to use up some of my scraps of DSP! I used the new Cheep Talk stamp set I got on Friday (another one scratched off of my very long wish list!) :) I also got to use my Sizzix Scallop Circles Die and my Coluzzle. The Coluzzle is no longer available through Stampin' Up but they have a new and fancy schmancy product called the Circle Scissor Plus. I haven't gotten one yet but have heard it's wonderful and easy to use- I know it won't be long before I can't live without one! ;)

Ingredients:
Stamps: Cheep Talk Paper: WW, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Petals and Paisleys DSP, Summer Picnic DSP Ink: SU Markers Accessories: Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Coluzzle, Sizzix Scallop Circle Die

Glad you popped in to check out my latest creation. Hope you enjoyed it and have a great day!
hugs,
Elizabeth
