Feels Like Fall :)

Hey there stampers! Thanks for stopping by today! It's finally beginning to feel like fall even though I've been making Halloween cards and projects for what seems like months!  So I quickly whipped up this fall card this morning!
Today's card uses one of my favorite stamp sets called Branch Out.

STEPS:

  1. Start out with a card base of Dusty Durango card stock and add a panel of More Mustard card stock.
  2. Stamp the tree image from the Branch Out stamp set in Close to Cocoa on Very Vanilla card stock and add leaves in Close to Cocoa, Dusty Durango and More Mustard.
  3. Using Close to Cocoa and Dusty Durango ink pads, add color to edges of main panel using the direct to paper technique (I call it schmutzing-but I'm wierd like that).  Just hold the ink pad and swipe your card stock onto the edges of the stamp pad and work your way around until you like it. :)
  4. Adhere panel to rest of card.  Stamp sentiment from the All Holidays stamp set in Close to Cocoa on Very Vanilla and punch with the Word Window Punch and add to More Mustard punched with the Modern Label Punch and finally onto Close to Cocoa punched with the Designer label Punch after being embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Bird and Swirls (it was a scrap and worked!)

INGREDIENTS:

  • STAMPS: Branch Out, All Holidays
  • INK: More Mustard, Dusty Durango, Close to Cocoa
  • PAPER: Very vanilla, More Mustard, Dusty Durango
  • TOOLS: Word Window, Modern Label and Designer Label Punches

Have a great day-I am off to work!

Birthday Whimsy

Hey there stampers! Thanks for stopping by!
Today's card uses some of my left over card guts from my stamp camp last week.  I wanted to use a stamp set that hasn't seen any love in a while so I pulled out my Garden Whimsy stamp set.  It's such a cute set I don't know why I've been neglecting it!

  2. Take the butterfly image fromt he Garden Whimsy stamp set and ink it up in Real Red, stamp off onto a scratch paper, then roll just the edges in Real Red ink again.  This is called the "rock n' roll" technique.  Stamp it onto Whisper White cut at 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and notch out the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch.
  3. Adhere it to a piece of Summer Sun cut at 3 x 4 1/2.  Knot a piece of Red Striped Ribbon around the end and adhere to card base.

Butterfly Thank You

Hi there! Thanks for joining me!

Today's card uses the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set (#111564) and the new Butterfly Punch (#116629).

I started out with a Whisper White card stock base (#100730), added a panel of Basic Black card stock (#102851) and stamped my butterfly image in Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406). I punched out the butterflies using the 1 1/4" Square Punch (#104400) and stamped the sentiment from the All Holidays stamp set (#114916) in Jet Black Stazon. I punched it out with the Word Window Punch (#105090) and layered it on Melon Mambo card stock (#115320) punched with the Modern Label Punch (#116630). I stamped the larger butterfly images on Melon Mambo card stock and punched it with the new Butterfly Punch (#116629). I popped it up on Dimensionals and added a Rhinestone from Colorbok that I picked up at the Scrapbook Expo.

So what do you think? I like the bright pop of Melon Mambo with the black and white.

Birthday Butterflies

Hey there Stampers! Happy weekend!

Today's card was one I came up with on my own (gasp!). I wanted to play around with the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and the new coordinating Butterfly punch. I didn't end up using the punch on this card but like the way this turned out. I pretty muched used colors and paper that were still out on my table from the last couple of days.

I started out with a Lavender Lace card base and stamped the small butterfly from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set (#111564) on Whisper White with Melon Mambo, Summer Sun and Bermuda Bay. I punched them out with the 1 1/4" Square Punch (#104400) and matted them on Basic Black punched with the Scallop Square Punch (#112081). I used my In Color Markers and Summer Sun SU Markers to make doodle dots in the corners. I stamped the remaining butterflies and sentiment from the All Holidays stamp set (#114916) in Jet Black Stazon.

Hope you are having a great summer! Thanks for visiting!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

My Lil Pony

Hey there stampers! Thanks for joining me today!

Today's card is a cute one. It uses the new Pony Party stamp set, one I knew I'd have to get since I have little girls. My littlest, Hannah, likes to play with My Little Ponies and this set looks just like them!

I started out with a card base of Lavender Lace cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and folded in half. I trimmed off about 1/2" and added some Whisper White cardstock punched with the Eyelet Punch. I stamped my images from the Pony Party stamp set (#115217) in Black Stazon Ink on Whisper White and colored them in with my SU Markers. I used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to stamp the wings in just the right place and punched the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch. I added some Pale Plum cardstock squares to the corners and popped it all up on Dimensionals. I stamped some of the smaller images from the same set in Lavender Lace along the edge of the card and stamped Happy Birthday from the All Holidays stamp set (#114916).
I think I might just save this one for Hannah's birthday :)
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Elizabeth
