Happy Easter a Few Days Late!

Hey there stampers!  How are you?  So glad you stopped by today!  I know I've been MIA-we went camping for the Easter weekend and had a great time.  Now it's a mountain of laundry to do!  I meant to post this for Easter but it didn't post so here it is a few days late!

Today's project uses a few different stamp sets all in the Easter theme.  I covered some peppermint patties and put them in a pretzel bag and tied it with a pretty bow :)  This also qualifies for the Cute Card Thursday challenge of the week "So Egg-Citing!"

INGREDIENTS:

  • STAMPS: Forest Friends, All Holidays, A Good Egg, A Flower for All Seasons
  • INK: Going gray, Jet Black Stazon, Stampin' Write Markers,
  • PAPER: Pretty in Pink, Gable Green, Almost Amethyst, Barely Banana
  • ACCESSORIES: Pretzel Bag, Peppermint Patties, Pretty in Pink Striped Ribbon
  • TOOLS: 1 1/4", 1 3/8" and Scallop Circle Punches

Hope you are having a great day!

Sweet Centers!

Hey there stampers! Thanks for joining me today! Boy do I have something fun to show you today!! A sneak peek at a product available starting September 1st, called Sweet Treat Cups. You'll find them in the new Holiday Mini along with so much more!

Today's card is one I made to give my sister and brother in law to congratulate them on the birth of their son, Sebastian.

STEPS:

  1. Cut your Bashful Blue card stock at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half for your card base. add a panel of Ballet Blue cut at 4" x 5 1/2".
  2. Next cut Whisper White card stock at 3 3/4" x 4", create a mask using the Scallop Circle Punch and make the clouds using a Sponge and some Bashful Blue Ink in a circular motion around your scallop circle mask.
  3. Stamp the hot air balloon image from the NEW Sweet Centers stamp set in Creamy Caramel on your cloudy main piece and again in Bashful Blue on Bashful Blue card stock. Trim the Bashful Blue scallop edge of the balloon basket and adhere over the top of the Creamy Caramel one.
  4. Punch out a Bashful Blue circle using the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and a strip of Bashful Blue card stock cut at 1" x 3 3/4" with the Scallop Edge Punch. Adhere Scallop Edge to bottom of cloudy piece.
  5. Fill Sweet Treat Cup with whatever you'd like-I added little baby bottles, pacifiers and glitter. Peel off the adhesive backing and cover with your 1 3/4" Bashful Blue circle and add to your card where the balloon would go.
  6. Stamp your sentiment from the Nursery Necessities stamp set in Basic Black on Whisper White, punch with the Word Window Punch, add to Bashful Blue punched with the Modern Label Punch and adhere to your card.Last stamp bunny image from the Forest Friends stamp set in Going Gray, color and cut out. Forest Friends

Hi there! Happy you stopped by today!

Today's card uses Taylor's Cupcake Challenge Sketch and the Forest Friends stamp set. Taylor's sketch was so easy to use that I used it twice already!

I started out with a Whisper White card stock (#100730) base, added a panel of Sage Shadow card stock (#101563) and a square of To the Nines Specialty DSP (#114038). I cut out a circle of Whisper White card stock using my (retired) Coluzzle and used my SU Markers to ink up my images from the Forest Friends stamp set (#113748). I cut out the owl and bunny images and popped them up on Dimensionals (#104430). The sentiment is from the Pocket Sihouettes stamp set (#111672) as is the flowery image along the bottom of the card. I used Sage Shadow ink (#102532) for the flower image and Chocolate Chip ink (#100908) for the sentiment. I punched it out with the Word Window punch (#105090) and layered it on a piece of To the Nines Specialty DSP punched with the Modern Label Punch (#116630).

Aren't the Forest Friends so dang cute?!

Thanks for visiting and hope you have a great day!

Elizabeth

Mojo Monday Forest Friends

Hey there stampers! Happy Friday!

Today's cards are ones I made following the Mojo Monday Sketch of the week. I really liked this one and thought I'd break out my sweet little Forest Friends since I hadn't used them in a while.

I used pretty much the same cardstock and colors for both these cards. I started out with a Very Vanilla card base and added a panel of Always Artichoke just on the bottom of one of the cards and then entire card on the other. I added some Candy Lane DSP on the bottom of the bunny card and cut my two matching pieces for my owl card also in Candy Lane DSP.
The bunny card has two matching pieces of Manchester DSP. The ribbon is Mellow Moss Gingham Ribbon (retired I think)and brads that I have in my stash are probably from Joann's or Michael's. I stamped my trees using my SU Markers and punched it out with my 1 3/4" Circle Punch and added my bunny and owl to each card.
I used my 3/4" Square Punch to punch out the sentiment from the Goody Goody Gum Drops stamp set (hostess set) for my owl card and used the same sentiment for my bunny card but trimmed it with my scissors add adhered it to a heart from the Heart to Heart Punch.

How can you resist these adorable little critters I have no idea!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come back soon!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

Good morning Stampers! I hope you had a great weekend! My two older daughters have been in AZ visiting their grandma since Thursday evening and I am so glad to have them finally home! Of course gone is the peace and quiet too!
So it's time for another awesome Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge from Karen! This was such a fun sketch and I had a hard time deciding which stamp set to use so I made two!

The first one is using the Branch Out set from the Idea Book and Catalog. I had my eye on this set and had to have it-apparently I have a thing for trees lately! I started out with a Chocolate Chip base, added some Old Olive DSP and ran some Old Olive Cardstock through my Big Kick with the Scallop Circles #2 Sizzix Bigz Die to make the big scallop circle. I cut the WW circle using my Coluzzle. My main image is stamped with Close to Cocoa for the tree trunk and branches and Kiwi Kiss and Old Olive for the leaves. I added a hint of color by stamping the birdhouse image in Tangerine Tango. I stamped the "Celebrate" from the new Matchbox Messages (from the new mini available April 1st)in Chocolate Chip, cut it out and layered it on the coordinating Matchbox Label from the new Matchbox Die also in the new mini. The final touch was a piece of Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon.

Having gotten my preorder from the Occasions Mini I had many new things to play with. I really wanted to stamp with my new Forest Friends set so I made another card using the same sketch but turning it on its side. I used the same DSP and cardstock colors that I used in the first card since I had it all out already. Again I started out with my Chocolate Chip card base, added the Old Olive DSP matted with Tangerine Tango. I die cut another Old Olive Scallop Circle using the Scallop Circles #2 Sizzix Bigz Die. I stamped the tree image using several SU Markers and the deer with Close to Cocoa. I went back and colored in its nose and hooves with my Chocolate Chip marker and colored in the ground. The butterflies are from the Branch Out set and are stamped in Tangerine Tango. The final touch was a knotted Tangerine Tango Striped Ribbon and the sentiment same as the first card.

Ingredients #1:
Stamps: Branch Out, Matchbox Messages Paper: Old Olive DSP, Old Olive, WW, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango Ink: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Kiwi Kiss Accessories: Matchbox Die, Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Coluzzle, Scallop Circles #2 Die, 1/4" Circle Punch

Ingredients #2:
Stamps: Branch Out, Forest Friends, Matchbox Messages Paper: Old Olive DSP, Old Olive, WW, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango Ink: SU Markers, Close to Cocoa, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip Accessories: Matchbox Die, Tangerine Tango Striped Ribbon, Coluzzle, Scallop Circles #2 Die,

Hope you enjoyed my cards!
