Because I Care Hostess Set Sneak Peek

Hey there stampers! Thanks for joining me today!
Today's card uses a brand new stamp set called Because I Care-a Level One Hostess Set available only when you hostess a qualifying show of $150 (or order that much yourself!)  It has this beautiful hydrangea flower image! I didn't have much time so I did the spotlighting technique instead of coloring the whole flower in but I can't wait to make another with it all colored too.

Hey there stampers! Thanks for stopping by!  This is another card we made at my last stamp camp using the emboss resist technique.

STEPS:

---

1. Stamp the flower image from the Upsy Daisy stamp set in Versamark on Whisper White, Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.
2. Sponge Pale Plum and Perfect Plum over the the embossed image and all around the panel until you have the desired look.  Wipe off excess ink from embossed daisies using a tissue.
3. Mat onto Crumb Cake (Kraft) and then onto Perfect Plum with a torn bottom.
4. Add a piece of torn Pale Plum under the Perfect Plum piece and knot a length of Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon around it.
5. Sponge a panel of Whisper white card stock with Creamy Caramel and Soft Suede ink.  Add to card base of Crumb Cake.
6. Add daisy panel to card.  Stamp sentiment from Starring You stamp set in Basic Black and punch with the Word Window Punch.  Add to Perfect Plum punched with the Modern Label Punch, then Pale Plum 1" Circle and finally a Crumb Cake Designer Label.  Adhere to card.

Yes I am Still Here!!

Hey there stampers! Thanks for stopping by! I know it's been FOREVER since I've posted-it's been on the nutty side in my life as of lately and really no end in sight but I've been squeezing in some stamping here and there and have a few things to share in the next couple of days. :)

Today's card is one I started for a swap at our annual WooHoo stampers event.  It is such fun and I had a great time visiting with my fellow stampers.  I meant to make about 30 swaps and got started on them but then had a yucky week where my stamping mojo disappeared and got so busy that I eventually scrapped it.  So now I have almost 30 parts of a card!

STEPS:

---

1. Ink the Upsy Daisy image in Perfect Plum and then go over the tops of the flowers with Elegant Eggplant Marker then stamp onto Whisper White.  Mat onto Kraft card stock.
2. Punch Perfect Plum card stock with the Scallop Border Punch, wrap White Taffeta Ribbon around in a knot, adhere to Whisper White and then onto your card base of Kraft card stock.
3. Add the main daisy panel.
4. Stamp the sentiment from the Starring You stamp set in basic Black on Whisper White and punch with the Word Window Punch.  Add to Perfect Plum punched with the Modern Label Punch.  Adhere to card.
5. Apply 2-Way Glue pen to the daisies and sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds on them.

Challenge & Sneak Peek in One!

Today's card combines 2 challenges into one and is also a sneak peek at a card we are making at my Brides and Babies class tomorrow!  I thought this was a pretty bridal shower card though it could really go for any occasion.  So this week's challenge at the Cute Card Thursday blog is to be monochromatic using different shades of the same color.  I added white but other than that it's a very pink card!  I also added some glitter to the flowers making it *sparkly* and thus qualifying for the Opus Gluei challenge to make it SPARKLE! :)

STEPS:

---

1. Start with a Pretty in Pink card stock base, punch edge with the Eyelet Border punch and add a strip of Whisper White card stock to the inside edge to show off the pretty border.
   
2. Ink the daisy image from the Upsy Daisy stamp set in Pretty in Pink and color the edges of the flowers with a Regal Rose Stampin' Write Marker. Then stamp on Whisper White card stock and notch corners with Ticket Corner Punch.
   
3. Stamp the sentiment from the Fresh Cuts stamp set in Regal Rose ink and mat onto Regal Rose card stock.
4. Wrap Pretty in Pink Striped Ribbon around card and tie into a knot and adhere main panel to card base.
   
5. Add a butterfly made with the Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslit and Pretty in Pink card stock using part of a Dimensional.
6. Add 2-Way Glue to flowers and sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to make it *sparkly*

Another Diva Challenge Card!

Today's card is another using the colors from our friends at the Diva Coffee Break Designs blog.  I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set and these colors were perfect!

STEPS:

---

1. Stamp the flower image from the Upsy Daisy stamps set in Pretty in Pink on Whisper White, then move over slightly and stamp again without reinking.  Rub Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink ink along edges of panel.
2. Mat onto Close to Cocoa card stock distresses with your finger nail.  Die cut Pretty in Pink card stock using the Big shot and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and adhere with a Dimensional.
   
3. Punch Pretty in Pink card stock with the Scallop Trim Border Punch from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and adhere onto a Whisper White card base.
   
4. Add a strip of Certainly Celery card stock distressed with your finger nail.  Add main panel.
   
5. Stamp sentiment in Close to Cocoa ink.

More Stamp Camp Projects

Good Morning Stampers! Well Spring Break is officially over and I am sad to see it go. My kids did not want to get up this morning at all!!

I didn't have any time to stamp this weekend with my stamp camps and our trip to the lake yesterday but I do have the last two items we made at my stamp camps this weekend to show you. I will work on the Sweet Sunday Sketch and Mojo Monday so I'll have something to show tomorrow! :)

This was one of the favorites among my stamp camp guests. Simple but cute and super sparkly! We started with a Whisper White cardstock base, added a Baja Breeze panel that was punched with the Scallop Edge Punch and tied some Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon around it. Next we inked up the daisy image from the Upsy Daisy stamp set first in Baja Breeze ink and then used the SU Ballet Blue Marker to highlight the top edges of each flower before stamping it onto a WW panel. The highlight is very subtle but nice. We adhered that to a mat of Sahara Sand and then added 2 Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds to the daisies. Ooooh Sparkly! The sentiment comes from the awesome Great Friend set and the White Gel Pen doodle dots on the scallop edge finishes it off.

The last project we made was a flower seed packet holder made out of an envelope! I love it when great ideas come from simple things! We used the Blooms and Bulbs Wheel with a Certainly Celery ink cartridge for continuous ink. We wheeled our sealed envelopes, cut off about 1 1/4" off the side of it and then ran the two pieces through the Crimper. We ran the bigger part (the pouch) through with the opening to the side and the smaller part (the lid) with the opening facing us. Next we stamped the wheelbarrow and flower images from the Blooming with Love stamp set in Black Stazon on WW. We colored them in with our fabulous SU Markers and set a Jumbo Eyelet with a Crop-a-dile in the wheel of the wheelbarrow. We matted it on Certainly Celery and adhered it with Mini Glue Dots since the surface was ridged from the Crimper. We wrapped some retired Certainly Celery ribbon (sale-a-bration)around the lid and stamped the watering can image in Sahara Sand and the sentiment in Black over top of it. We punched it out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and layered it onto a 1 3/8" Circle Punch of Creamy Caramel and then onto a Cetainly Celery Scallop Circle with White Gel Pen doodle dots. We tied it to the Certainly Celery Ribbon with some Linen Thread to finish it off. Cute huh?

Sweet Sunday Sketch

Good morning stampers! Thanks for stopping by today!
It's that time again...to do Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Today's card starts out with a Whisper White card base with a layer of Ski Slope DSP (retired)matted with a layer of Sahara Sand. My main image is from the Upsy Daisy stamp Set and is stamped in Baja Breeze and then highlighted with my White Gel Pen along the tops of the flowers and matted with another piece of Sahara Sand.
The ribbon is Certainly Celery from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and I tied a piece on one of our new Basic Jumbo Grommets from the Occasions Mini and attached it to the card. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black and is also from the Upsy Daisy stamp set.

Another Sketch Challenge!

Hi there! Another late post but hopefully worth the wait!

I stalk many blogs, one of which is an awesome SU demo in Australia named Makeesha Byl. Her blog always offers great "inkspiration"! Today I decided to play along with her Inkspiration Challenge #5 and this is what I came up with.

I don't tend to use such dark colors but it was kind of fun for a change. I used up some more of my DSP scraps (have I told you that I am a paper hoarder?! I keep it ALL!!)and even tried the stamping with bleach technique for the first time. I started my card with a Basic Gray base, added my Urban Garden DSP scraps with a little Baja Breeze for a matte, and stamped my Upsy Daisy stamp first in bleach and then again in versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I punched it out, layered it and popped it up with a dimensional. The sentiment is one I keep using from the Wow Flowers set stamped in black and punched with the Word Window Punch. What do you think? I'd love to hear so leave me a comment! :)

Sympathy

It's with a heavy heart that I post this sympathy card I made last night for a friend at my daughter's school who lost her husband to cancer yesterday. It was inspired by THIS card made by ambouth on Splitcoast Stampers.
I inked the Upsy Daisy stamp first in Going Gray then added Baja Breeze with a sponge dauber on the tips of the flowers before stamping it on the whisper white. The rest is pretty self explanatory. Feel free to comment or email me with any questions!
