Trendy Trees

Hey there stampers! Happy Saturday!  I know I am so late posting but I had nothing stamped and am having a hard time getting into the swing of things today.  I'm exhausted from this first week of school and work and soccer practices and it is so dang hot right now I can't think! :)
Today's card uses the Tall Tales DSP and the Trendy Trees stamp set, both cute and I think go well together.
STEPS:

  1. Start with a sheet of Whisper White cut at 4 1/4 x 11, fold in half and add a panel of Tall Tales DSP cut at 4 x 5 1/4.
  2. Add a strip of So Saffron card stock cut at 4 1/4 x 2 and punch three Chocolate Chip Scallop Squares from it.
  3. Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp the trees and trunks from the Trendy Trees stamp set on Whisper White card stocka nd punch with the 1 1/4" Square Punch.  Layer onto Chocolate Chip Scallop Squares.  Adhere to card on So Saffron piece.
  4. Stamp sentiment in Chocolate Chip inkon Whisper White, punch with Word Window and layer onto Old Olive card stock punched with the Modern Label Punch.  Add Chocolate Chip punched with the 1 " Circle punch and layer onto So Saffron punched with the Designer Label Punch.  Adhere to card.  Add Old Olive grosgrain ribbon to top of card tied into a knot.

Tall Tales Tree

Hey there stampers!

Today's card uses some of the new Tall Tales DSP which is super cute! I started out with a Soft Suede cardbase cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and folded in half. I cut off 1 1/4" off the front end of the card and added some So Saffron punched with the Scallop Edge Punch. I added my panel of the Tall Tales DSP (#115678) and stamped a tree from the Trendy Trees stamp set (#113258)in Old Olive and Soft Suede and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line it up. The sentiment also comes from the TRendy Trees set. I punched the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch and matted it on a piece of So Saffron. Ta Da!
What do you think? I'm a sucker for trees and leaves so I love it! :)
Thanks for stooping by! Enjoy your day!

Simple Trendy Tree

Hi there Stampers!

Here's another super simple card using some retired accessories.

I started out with a Chocolate Chip card base and added a two panels of the retired Good Morning Sunshine DSP matted with Kiwi Kiss cardstock. I stamped my main image with Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss inks using a tree from the Trendy Trees set. I matted that on Kiwi Kiss and popped it up with Dimensionals. The final touch is some Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon tied in a knot.

Super simple and can be adapted to any stamp set and color scheme. I did see a similar card but cannot find it now, so if it was you please let me know so I can give you credit! :)

Take care and see you soon!

Curly Kiwi Tree

Hi there! I know what a silly name! I try to name my posts by what stamp set I used but today I named it after the color, stamp set and punch!

Today's card started with a Kiwi Kiss (retired!)card base. I added squares of Good Morning Sunshine DSP in the corners and down the center. I stamped the tree from the Trendy Trees stamp set using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip ink and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch. I added a piece of Pacific Point Striped Ribbon and popped it up with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the same set and is punched out with the Word Window Punch and layered on Kiwi Kiss punched with the new Modern Label Punch.

Hope you are having a great day! See you again soon!

Masuline Birthday Trees

Hi there stampers! Thanks for checking in with me!
Today's card is one I came up with myself (gasp!)I know, I know will wonders ever cease? I wanted to come up with a masculine birthday card for an upcoming workshop make and take and I just love this Trendy Trees set.
I started out with an Old Olive card base, wheeled the Funky Forest wheel in the same color, and added a thin strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock. The main image is stamped using my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig (a must for this set!), the edges sponged and matted first on Kiwi Kiss and then on Really Rust. The sentiment is from the Wow Flowers set, punched with the Word Window Punch and layered on a Real Rust Small Oval and a Kiwi Kiss Large Oval Punch.
Ingredients:
Stamps: Wow Flowers, Trendy Trees Paper: Old Olive, Really Rust, Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip Ink: Close to Cocoa, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive Accessories: Stamp-a-Ma-Jig, Small Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Word Window, Sponges, Dimensionals, Funky Forest Standard Wheel
Hope you liked my card! Leave a comment and let me know!

Mojo Monday Sketch

Good Tuesday morning stampers! Hope you had a nice 3 day weekend! Other than all the rain and all the muddy footprints it brings with it was nice to have everyone home.
I was blog surfing yesterday and saw the Mojo Monday sketch and thought it looked like fun to play along. Here's what I came up with.
I got my new Trendy Trees set yesterday so it was perfect timing to make a more masculine card with it. I used some retired DSP scraps and the Spots and Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and of course my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the trees just right. It's a must for this set. I think it turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself ;).
Ingredients:
Stamps: Trendy Trees Paper: Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, WW, Petals & Paisleys DSP Ink: Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip Accesories: Spots & Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Scissors, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Non-SU Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment so I know someone is actually reading what I post! :)
