Wow I can't believe we are on #50 already of Kristina Werner's awesome color challenges! As I'm sure you have seen, I love to play along with challenges and sketches, but this one is one of my favorites! So many people play along and it's wonderful to see what everyone comes up with.
I started out with a WW card base, added a panel of Real red and some Tempting Turquoise punched with the Scallop Edge Punch, and sponged my background with Tempting Turquoise ink, a sponge and a scrap Scallop Oval. I made my boat using the 1 1/4" and 3/4" Square Punches and the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and cut them all in half. I sponged the edges or used the coordinating SU Marker and adhered them with Dimensionals. The sun is Summer Sun punched with the Scallop Circle Punch and the cloud is Whisper White punched with the new Scallop Oval from the Occasions Mini Catalog.
I think it turned out pretty cute! I was inspired by a swap I received that I showed in THIS post.
Ingredients:
Stamps: none! Paper: WW, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, Close to Cocoa Ink: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, Close to Cocoa Accessories: Scallop Circle and Scallop Oval Punches, 1 1/4" and 3/4" Square Punches, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Sponges, Scallop Edge Punch
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come back soon!

Mojo Thursday!
Happy Thursday Stampers! Thanks for visiting me today!
Here's my submission for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I can never play along on the day it comes out, or if I do I have already posted for the day. :)
I started out with a Whisper White card base, added a panel of Real Red and then foraged around in my DSP scrap pile and found a fun combo of colors! I used the orange from the Summer Picnic DSP(retired), the turquoise from the Polka Dots and Paisley DSP(retired), and then the olive from the Old Olive DSP. I stamped my main image from the Big Bold Birthday set using my SU Markers and added the Metal Dot stickers (Colorbok)along the side. For the Scallop Circle I used Tempting Turquoise paper, with a cicrlce of WW stamped with dots in Sahara Sand and then the wording in Basic Black. I left the bow on the sketch off so this could go for either a boy or a girl.
Ingredients:
Stamps: Big Bold Birthday Paper: Polka Dots and Paisly DSP(retired), Summer Picnic DSP (retired), Old Olive DSP, Real Red, WW Ink: SU Markers Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Colorbok Metal Stickers
Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest post! have a super day!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge
Hi there Stampers! Here's my second post of the day so scroll down to see the first!
I finally had a chance to sit down and stamp and I decided to play along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for the week. She always has the greatest sketches so play along with us!
I started out with a Whisper White card base, added a panel of Pacific Point and my strips of Good Morning Sunshine DSP. I stamped my images from the Cheep Talk stamp set using my SU Markers to get different colors on the same stamp. I punched it out with my Wide Oval Punch and the used a piece of Pacific Point that I first punched with my Scallop Edge Punch and then ran through my Crimper before wrapping it around to make a ruffled edge. I used a lot of Sticky Strip to make it stay nice. I added some Pacific Point Striped Ribbon and a white Jumbo Grommet from the Occasions Mini with a little heart stuck inside of it.
For a great tutorial on how to make the ruffled edge click HERE
Ingredients:
Stamps: Cheep Talk Paper: Good Morning Sunshiine DSP, WW, Pacific Point Ink: SU Markers Accessories: 1/2" Circle Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Crimper, Sticky Strip, Pop-Up Glue Dots, Pacific Point Striped Ribbon, Jumbo Grommet
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Hope Your Day is Par-Fect!
Good Morning Stampers! Happy Sunday!
Today's card is my submission to Kerin Sylvester's sketch challenge for the week over at Stamps, Paper, Glitter. Go check out her blog and give one of her sketches a try! This week the winner gets a prize!!!
I just got the Many Mower stamp set from the Occasions Mini and it is the perfect, or should I say "par-fect" stamp set for a guy. Lawn Mowers, Golf, Remotes and Recliners what more do they want that is acceptable for a stamp set?! ;)
I started out with a Whisper White card base and added a panel of Kiwi Kiss stamped with the Polka Dot background stamp from the dormant list. Next I added the black panel with white strips top and bottom. I stamped my image in Black Stazon and colored it in with my SU Markers.
I used a Scallop Circle as a stencil and sponged some Bashful Blue to make the sky and clouds. The grass is a strip of Kiwi Kiss that I cut with scissors and the Ballet Blue panel sits behind the main image. The two 1" Circles are embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing folder and sponged on the edges with Sahara Sand to look like golf balls. What do you think?
Ingredients:
Stamps: Many Mower, Polka Dot background Paper: WW, Kiwi Kiss, Ballet Blue, Basic Black Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Black Stazon, SU Markers, Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch (for clouds), 1" Circle Punch, Swiss Dots, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Sponges
Hope you have a great day!

My Card Swap for Today's Demo Event
Good Morning Stampers! I am so excited! Today is the Woo Hoo Stampers event in Valencia. It's going to be a day packed with training, demonstrations, awesome ideas and best of all other demonstrators and swaps! :)
So here is my swap card. Pretty simple but I like it. I started out with a Whisper White base, added a panel of Certainly Celery stamped with the little butterflies from the Branch Out stamp set in the same color. A panel of Pink Pirouette mats the Whisper White piece stamped with the tree from the Branch Out set in Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Pink Pirouette, and Pretty in Pink. I added a Jumbo Eyelet to the tire swing, some Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon and the sentiment from the Oval All stamp set in the new Occasions Mini matted with a Pretty in Pink Scallop Oval. So what do you think? I hope the other demos like it. :)
I hope you have a terrific Saturday! Come back tomorrow for a new card I made with the Many Mower set-it turned out cute!!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

Color Throw Down Friday!
Happy Friday Stampers! Thanks for checking in with me today!
Sorry for such a late post, I had an early morning PTA meeting and breakfast at my daughter's school that ran long and then all the fun stuff to do that I didn't this morning!
Today's card is for the Color Throw Down of the week. When I saw Basic Black, Real Red and Barely Banana I instantly thought of ladybugs and the Darling Dots hostess stamp set.
I started out with a Barely Banana base and stamped it with the Polka Dot background stamp in the same color. This stamp is not in the catalog but is still available on the "dormant" list.
I inked up the edges of the card front with my Barely Banana stamp pad and then added my Real Red and Basic Black cardstock panels. I stamped my ladybugs from the Darling Dots Hostess Set using my Basic Black and Real Red SU markers and punched them out with my 1 1/4" Circle Punch. I then layered them on Basic Black 1 3/8" Circle Punched pieces and then on Barely Banana Scallop Circles. The ribbon is from the clearance bin at Michael's (I am soooo the sucker for ribbon!)and the sentiment is from the Wow Flowers set. I punched out the "birthday wishes" with my Word Window Punch, layered it on the Large Oval and then the new Scallop Oval from the Occasions Mini. The final touch was adding black dots with my SU Markers on the Barely Banana scallops.
Ingredients:
Stamps: Wow Flowers, Darling Dots, Polka Dot Background Paper: Barely Banana, Real Red, Basic Black Ink: SU markers, Basic Black, Barely Banana Accessories: Dimensionals, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Scallop Circle and Scallop Oval Punches, Large Oval Punch, Word Window Punch, Ribbon (Michael's)
Whenever I get an order in for my cutomers I always make a tag with a thank you stamped on it and a little note on the back. I recently got the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions die and made my tag with it this time. It's so pretty I just had to share it! I used Pale Plum die cut with the Sizzix Originals Scallop Tag, ran it through with the Manhattan Flower die and then added my thank you from the Only Ovals stamp set and a Perfect Plum Scallop Oval. Pretty huh?
Tomorrow is my demo event in Valencia, thank goodness I finally got all my swaps done! I'll post my swap tomorrow for you to see!
Have a super day!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

Diva Coffee Break Challenge
Hi there Stampers! Thanks for stopping by!
As I was blog surfing yesterday I came across the Diva Coffee Break Challenge for the week and of course had to play along! I had such fun using such simple colors that I had to make two cards!
When I saw the colors were white, black and gray I knew I wanted to ink up my much neglected Pocket Silhouettes stamp set!
I started with my typical WW base, added a panel of Walk in the Park DSP from the Occasions Mini Catalog and tied some organza ribbon from Michael's. I stamped my images in Basic Black on Whisper White (WW)and matted them on Scallop Squares of Basic Black. I popped them up on dimensionals and then added my butterfly from the Great Friend stamp set (I cannot get enough of this one!).
My second card starts with a WW base with a panel of Rockabilly DSP.
I added a strip of WW and some ribbon and stamped the happy birthday circles from the Wow Flowers stamp set in Basic Black and Going Gray. I punched them out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and matted them on Basic Black Scallop Circles with Dimensionals. The final touch is the silver metal stickers (Colorbok). Kind of funky but I like it. :)
Ingredients #1:
Stamps: Great Friend, Pocket Silhouettes Paper: Walk in the Park, WW Ink: Basic Black, Going Gray Accessories: Dimensionals, 1 1/4" Square Punch, Scallop Square Punch, Organza Ribbon
Ingredients #2:
Stamps: Wow Flowers Paper: Rockabilly DSP, WW, Basic Black Ink: Basic Black, Going Gray Accessories: 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Silver Metal Stickers from Colorbok, Striped Ribbon, Dimensionals
Hope you enjoyed my cards and give this challenge a try!

Elizabeth

Mojo Monday Wednesday!
Good Morning Stampers! Happy Wednesday!
Today's card is my submission for the Mojo Monday Sketch of the week. I used the Great Friend stamp set from the Occcasions Mini again. I just love this set! Remember you only have 8 more days to take advantage of the Get connected promotion where you get to pick a FREE item from the "Under $10" section of the Idea Book and Catalog when you spend $40 out of the Occasions Mini catalog. Who doesn't love FREE stuff?!?
I started out with a Whisper White cardstock base, aded a panel of Certainly Celery and then some Regal Rose stamped with the leaf image from the Great Friend set. I punched the Pink Pirouette piece with my Eyelet Border Punch and stamped the greeting and the butterfly in Pretty in Pink. I cut the butterfly out and used dimensionals to pop it up and used the Ticket Corner Punch on my Certainly Celery mat. The button from the Button Bouquet is added with a Mini Glue Dot and has a bit of Linen Thread tied on it.
Ingredients:
Stamps: Great Friend Paper: WW, Certainly Celery, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose Ink: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink Accessories: Dimensionals, Button Bouquet, Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots, Eyelet Border Punch
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,

Sweet Sunday Sketch of the Week
Good Morning Stampers! Thanks for stopping by!
Yesterday I stamped a little and played along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch. I knew I wanted to use my Branch Out set but wasn't sure on colors. I finally decided on a more masculine look and used some of the scraps I had on my table from the card I posted yesterday. It definitely has a Fall look to it and the weather the last few days is very far from a Fall feel!
I started with an Old Olive card base, added some torn Close to Cocoa with a strip of Pumpkin Pie, and stamped my tree from the Branch Out set in Close to Cocoa. I added the leaves in Ridinghood Red, Close to Cocoa and Pumpkin Pie and matted it on a piece of Ridinghood Red and Close to Cocoa after adding my Jumbo Eyelet for the tire swing.
The sentiment is from the new Oval All set in the Occasions Mini and is punched with the Large Oval Punch and matted on a piece of Close to Cocoa punched with the new Scallop Oval Punch. The final touch is a piece of Ridinghood Red Striped Ribbon tucked under the main panel. I think I am going to try this with a more spring/feminine look tomorrow as I am still trying to figure out my swaps for this upcoming Saturday!!! Yikes!
Ingredients:
Stamps: Branch Out, Oval All Paper: Close to Cocoa, Ridinghood Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, WW Ink: Close to Cocoa, Ridinghood Red, Pumpkin Pie Accessories: Jumbo Eyelet, Ridinghood Red Striped Ribbon, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Crop-a-dile
Hope you have a super day!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

A Second Post!
Hi there stampers!
I had a chance to play around with my stamps this morning and wanted to post this one since the cut off for it's submission is today.
I was checking out my usual favorite blogs and saw that Ashley over at Design with Ink was having a color challenge with a prize. I would have played either way but the prize made me post twice today-who can resist Satin Ribbon?!? Not me! I paired it with Taylor's sketch of the week at the Taylored Expressions blog.
I started out with an Old Olive card base and a strip of the Rockabilly DSP. Those shiny cherries are just so fun! I made my cherries with Real Red cardstock punched with my 1" Circle Punch. I sponged the edges in Real Red and added a highlight with my White Gel Pen.
I cut a strip of Old Olive for the stem and used my 5 Petal Flower Punch for the leaves and then trimmed them down. I sponged my WW layer with Pumpkin Pie and layered it on some So Saffron and another mat of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. The sentiment comes from the One Smart Cookie stamp set and I drew the mini cherries with my SU Markers. Ipunched it using my 1" Circle Punch again and then layered it on a piece of So Saffron punched with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. So Red Gingham Ribbon and some Old Olive doodle dots finishes it off.
Ingredients:
Stamps: One Smart Cookie Paper: Rockabilly, WW, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive Marker Accessories: 1" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches, 5 Petal Flower Punch, White Gel Pen, Ticket Corner Punch, Sponges, Red Gingham Ribbon, Dimensionals
Hope you like my card!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

More Stamp Camp Projects
Good Morning Stampers! Well Spring Break is officially over and I am sad to see it go. My kids did not want to get up this morning at all!!
I didn't have any time to stamp this weekend with my stamp camps and our trip to the lake yesterday but I do have the last two items we made at my stamp camps this weekend to show you. I will work on the Sweet Sunday Sketch and Mojo Monday so I'll have something to show tomorrow! :)
This was one of the favorites among my stamp camp guests. Simple but cute and super sparkly! We started with a Whisper White cardstock base, added a Baja Breeze panel that was punched with the Scallop Edge Punch and tied some Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon around it. Next we inked up the daisy image from the Upsy Daisy stamp set first in Baja Breeze ink and then used the SU Ballet Blue Marker to highlight the top edges of each flower before stamping it onto a WW panel. The highlight is very subtle but nice. We adhered that to a mat of Sahara Sand and then added 2 Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds to the daisies. Ooooh Sparkly! The sentiment comes from the awesome Great Friend set and the White Gel Pen doodle dots on the scallop edge finishes it off.
The last project we made was a flower seed packet holder made out of an envelope! I love it when great ideas come from simple things! We used the Blooms and Bulbs Wheel with a Certainly Celery ink cartridge for continuous ink. We wheeled our sealed envelopes, cut off about 1 1/4" off the side of it and then ran the two pieces through the Crimper. We ran the bigger part (the pouch) through with the opening to the side and the smaller part (the lid) with the opening facing us. Next we stamped the wheelbarrow and flower images from the Blooming with Love stamp set in Black Stazon on WW. We colored them in with our fabulous SU Markers and set a Jumbo Eyelet with a Crop-a-dile in the wheel of the wheelbarrow. We matted it on Certainly Celery and adhered it with Mini Glue Dots since the surface was ridged from the Crimper. We wrapped some retired Certainly Celery ribbon (sale-a-bration)around the lid and stamped the watering can image in Sahara Sand and the sentiment in Black over top of it. We punched it out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and layered it onto a 1 3/8" Circle Punch of Creamy Caramel and then onto a Cetainly Celery Scallop Circle with White Gel Pen doodle dots. We tied it to the Certainly Celery Ribbon with some Linen Thread to finish it off. Cute huh?

Cute huh?

Another Stamp Camp Card
Hi there Stampers! So sorry for such a late post, we left for the lake this morning at 7:30 and just got back a few minutes ago. So much fun and so much sun!
Here are two examples of the same card just different colors, sorry the Pink Pirouette one is a little blurry but I am just too tired to fix it. I've seen these cards around but I saw it first at the fabulous Patty Bennett's blog She has great card ideas, 3-d projects and a beautiful garden! If you haven't checked her blog out before you DEFINITELY must!
These cards are super easy to make. I simply put my vellum through with my Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die and then adhered it with a few mini glue dots and hid the glue dots with some pretty organza ribbon. I stamped "from the heart" from my Holidays and Wishes stamp set, but you could use this type of card for everything from a birthday, to Mother's Day, to a sympathy card or a wedding card with just a change in the sentiment! Not a bad deal for just $7.95!
Thanks for stopping by, time to get the kids in bed cuz Spring Break is officially over! :(
See you tomorrow!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

Stamp Camp Card
Good Morning Stampers! Happy Saturday!
Last night I had the first of two Stamp Camps here at my house and it was such fun! Hi to Allison, Paula, Marcella, Channa, Sham and Lorena! Hope you had fun ladies! This afternoon is a repeat of last night's class and should be a lot of fun as well!
Today I am showing you one of the cards we are making in my Stamp Camp. It's one I've seen quite a bit of and was just too cute to pass up! I followed Stephanie Luman's awesome directions to make mine and just changed my colors and flowers. I used the Cherry Blossom Embosslit Die and another embosslit I had gotten at Joann's and my 5 Petal Flower Punch for the leaves. The "pot" is made with Really Rust cardstock and the Scallop Edge Punch and Chocolate Chip 5/8" Ribbon. Super cute don't you think?!? Here are a couple more super cute flower pot cards I found at Splitcoast, click HERE and HERE and HERE to see.
Ingredients:
Stamps: Goody Goody Gum Drops (hostess) Paper: Really Rust, So Saffron, Ridinghood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango Ink: Chocolate Chip Accessories: Chocolate Chip 5/8" Ribbon, Dimensionals, 5 Petal Flower Punch, Cherry Blossom Embosslit, Flower With Swirl Embosslit, Scallop Edge Punch
Hope you have a super day!

Elizabeth

Two More Challenges!
Hi there Stampers! Thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by!
So yesterday I pulled out my Basic Gray, Baja Breeze and Ruby Red to play along with the folks at the Color Throw Down blog and made a card for the Diva Coffee Break Challenge. Since I already had these colors on my table I figured I'd use my scraps to make a couple more.
I wasn't sure where to start so I checked out Kerin's sketch challenge for the week over at her blog Stamps, Paper Glitter! I started again with a Whisper White card base and stamped it randomly with the flowers from Fifth Avenue Floral in Baja Breeze, Basic Gray and Ruby Red. Next I added a Baja Breeze panel that I ran through my Big Shot with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The Ruby Red panel is embossed with the Manhattan Flower Textured Impression Die (page 202 of the IB&C)-I LOVE this look and it's a steal for $7.95!
I stamped the big flower in Basic Gray added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter with my 2 Way Glue Pen and matted it on a Basic gray panel after punching the corners with my Ticket Corner Punch. The final touches are some White Taffeta Ribbon and some gray brads in the corners.
Ingredients:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral Paper: Ruby Red, Baja Breeze, Basic Gray, WW Ink: Ruby Red, Baja Breeze, Basic Gray Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Manhaatan Flower Textured Impressions Die, White Taffeta Ribbon, brads, 1/16" Punch
Hope you have a super day and have some time to create today!
hugs,
Elizabeth
