Sweet Sunday on Monday :)

Hi there Stampers! Sorry for the later than usual post. I made a few things yesterday but then started feeling sick before I could take pics and prep for my post today.

Today's card is my submission for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I can't believe it's been 16 sketches already! It also is my submission for a new challenge I found at the fabulous Order of the Opus Gluei blog. These ladies are FUN! They are giving away some awesome blog candy too!

I started with a 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" piece of Close to Cocoa base and added a piece of Bella Rose DSP punched with the Scallop Edge Punch along the bottom. Next I added my frame of some more Bella Rose DSP and stamped my images from the Blooming with Love Stamp Set in Black Stazon. I cut out my stamped flower pots and wheelbarrow and adhered them over the original stamped image. I colored in my flowers with my SU Markers and stamped my sentiment from the Great Friend Stamp Set in Chocolate Chip. I punched it out with my Small Oval and layered it on a Large Oval of Kiwi Kiss. I added a button from the Button Bouquet with a bit of Linen Thread tied through it as a final touch.

I think this is a perfect card for my mom who was born with a green thumb-it is obviously not a genetic trait passed on since I kill all live plants. :)

What do you think? I thought it was so cute I made a couple love notes of just the center piece for Mother's Day gift enclosures. This image is totally CASED from one of my favorite stampers, Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho, click HERE to see her fabulous card.

Ingredients:
Stamps: Blooming with Love, Great Friend Paper: Bella Rose DSP, WW, Close to Cocoa, Kiwi Kiss Ink: SU Markers, Black Stazon, Chocolate Chip Accessories: Button Bouquet, Linen Thread, Small and Large Oval Punches, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

  1. I absolutely love this stamp set and DSP paper. I will be so sad to see that paper gone in August. I love what you did with it in this card and for the sketch. Nice job!!
